Our first graders had so much fun making gingerbread houses as they “traveled” to Germany for Holidays Around the World! We wish we were at school today building gingerbread houses with our friends! 🎄🍪
December was all about Integrity! 💙 We celebrated our integrity winners and enjoyed an amazing presentation and performance by Student Council. So proud of our students—and wishing everyone a wonderful winter break! ❄️
Our K–3 students shined at the Winterfest Concert!! They sang and played instruments, proudly showing off all the musical skills they’ve been working on this year. A huge thank you to Mr. Howes, Mrs. Lauritsen, and Mr. Cooper for preparing our students for such a wonderful performance! 🎵✨❄️

The Cardio Kids ran their annual Cocoa Run today! They enjoyed a winter stroll to holiday music and wrapped up with hot cocoa and cookies! Such a fun and festive way to end the season!! ❄️☕️
In November, our Blythe students proudly presented to the Board of Education about our lead data goals in math! They shared how we use math tools, solve word problems, explain our thinking, and so much more. We are working hard toward our math goals at Blythe! We had such a special visit today from award-winning illustrator Jacqueline Alcántara! Can you guess where she grew up?.. Riverside!!
She shared her journey as an artist, taught us what being an illustrator means to her, and even showed us how to draw some of her amazing characters and settings! Thank you, Ms. Jackie!! 🎨📚
Today our whole school came together to celebrate our Emotional Management award winners! Our 3rd graders did an amazing job sharing strategies and tools to help us handle big feelings. We also introduced our December theme… Integrity! 🌟
Mrs. Allen and our 5th graders harvested fresh lettuce from our hydroponics stations this week! They put together delicious salads to share with the whole school. So fresh and so yummy! Thank you, Mrs. Allen!! 🥗

Our kindergarteners lent a helping hand to Mrs. Allen and her students to plant in our hydroponics station! Now we get to whisper positive thoughts to the plants and watch them grow!! 🥬🌱
🚧 The Cowley Road railroad crossing will be closed starting October 14 for approximately 3 weeks. 🚗 Detour signs will direct traffic to the Delaplaine Road crossing. 🚲 Pedestrians, students, and cyclists are encouraged to cross at Longcommon Road.
