hi this is a math video for less than 17.1 and 17.2 so I'm going to teach you about some lines line segments rays and angles today the line goes on forever and a line is drawn with two arrows one in each direction if you were out in nature not Riverside Riverside has curved sidewalk next neighborhood over and you take a walk down a long sidewalk that would be like a lot when we write our line in math usually they have points on the line I chose Z and C for this one so you would write it down as e c with a line on top of it exactly like it pair with arrows at both ends or it could also be called line CZ and again it would have the little line right on top the Math in Focus book I told you to write the word line Cc or CC you are too smart for that so we're going to do it like adults do it today we're not going to learn a different way I want to do this in your you can do it what is it supposed to stop show you but I know you guys are smart enough to handle it is a red I love braids Ray's have an endpoint Eminem opposite directions they have arrows and that is what a rate is it has an implant one in and it goes on the other way and it's labeled Ray and point with an arrow on the other side AC right AC you erase all over your house and I'm going to show you how who raised together are angel angles everywhere in our world so when two rays share the same endpoint they make an angle now this one is a smaller opening and it would be called an acute angle and when you're labeling your angles in your homework today it's like a little C and you put the little seat connecting the two raise and then it goes over the endpoint so when you're in 4th grade you'll get some measure these angles in a right angles which is a perfect owl is always 92 if you're smaller than 90° when you measure it that's called a cute acute acute acute angle when you're larger than 90 degrees that perfect out obtuse obtuse obtuse so those are your three types of angles and then I want to review with you an endpoint align which has its arrows at either end can have many points on it and that is just labeled with a letter in the alphabet usually capitalized endpoint you're am going are at the end of a line segment I want segment the part of a line with two ends I drew this one and in your homework in your workbook pages you will write it like this okay this is how it don't spray it you're not going to do the line segment words and then put BD let's just do it this way so the answer for what is this line segment would be line segment BD and line segment DB so there's always capital letters can you cast to draw the actual little line segment on top of the capital letter okay now let's say you're still a little confused in your business fold did I sent home in December and March I think I sent you so you should have two missing folders actually there's a red packet the White Pages in this red packets a little bit of what I said but more so if you're interested in this and you red packet the two white pages the other thing I'd like to show you the what starts with in our room look at it and have some fun with it it went over and I don't know if my camera person can get that nicely that's perfect right there straight lines were talking about they have their arrows at either end and they go on forever the mind can be a hoe you can be a vertical line and then over here as a ray point but it goes on in One Direction the opposite way line segment has two endpoints decorate with lime I want to just show you a a line segment in my home so if you look at your man still here to see that there's an endpoint here and then you have your line sickness and you have an endpoint here you can also it's an upside-down now still counts as a right angle another great place to look for right angles is picture frames so you have your ray your Ray and here's your right angle that's a perfect. games, board games to buy the line segments are single I'm trying to think your house today and tomorrow try and look around for line segments and try and look around for rays and angles if you are having any difficult I've also put on the map videos from Math in Focus there's a gentleman that will lead you through a few problems on each workbook page and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from now on at 9:30 I will put a zoom invitation on Google classroom for any child in the class to join me who has a question or is still confused this is not for socializing like we do Thursday Friday at 11 Thursday questions with them about the bath or about any assignments are having difficulties with all right so you guys have a great day and look around look around for your line to line segments and rays and your angle bye
