I hope you guys are doing well I thought I'd give you a math video for week April 13th our chapter will be chapter 10 on money is going to be super easy it's really a review of adding and subtracting three and four digits that we did in the fall I'm going to modify the pages that we do for less than 10.1 and less than 10.2 I'm 10.1 you will start on page 11 this will all be in the lesson plans that I put on the e-learning the reason why I'm starting on page 11 is we're going to keep simple you will notice that once in awhile you see these number Vaughn in the chapter 10 we're not going to worry about those right now if you want to look at them great if you want to just skip that part I'm just going to focus on the actual adding and subtraction adding an addition of our numbers now remember if the book shows it to you in the horizontal form I need you to rewrite it is Circle form and then you start like we did in the fall you're going to start with the far right column 0 / 0 5 + 9 14 put your decimal on your decimals up and then 1 + 7 is 8 + 8 + 4 is 12 don't your dollar sign that's like your label I have another one for you this is how it looks a lot in the book so I'm your paper your extra paper that you get and try and do some of these problems on page 11 and 12 you remember my rule from the fall right now we're going to put the largest number on top so even though the largest number is over here we're going to place it first when we rewrite it to do it on a piece of notebook paper we're going to rewrite it on top then we will start on the far right column 5 + 054 + 370 5 + 9 14 we will regroup that 10 one plus one to please please please do not forget to put your dollar signs lining up will make you a happier kid subtraction as you remember we line it up line up here comes lineup that done some I forgot my little dollar sign there and then let's start on the far-right 0 - 003 - 4 we can't do that we need to go to the 8 regroup take that 10 away gifts at 10 to the three 10 + 3 + 13 now we can subtract 13 -2 for 9 bring down our decimal 7 - 225 + 1 - nothing is there equals the one and don't forget your dollar sign I think you guys will be Champs that's it I'll also put on the videos to help you with the workbook page the last thing I want to talk to you and I know you're going to be super super excited about this my camera person could zoom in for a zoom meeting we're going to start the week of April 21st I divided you into just ran small groups of six five or six children and it will be April 21st it will be at 11 you each have your own assigned day and assigned group the schedule Google Classroom right now you can check it out and I'll answer your questions and I'll pose a question to you so I just asked that you're respectful and that you're properly dress for school and we'll have a great time have a good weekend
